How to Configure Shipment Steps in Odoo 18 Enterprise

Introduction:

Efficient inventory management relies on defining the right process flow for incoming and outgoing shipments. Odoo 18 Enterprise offers flexibility by allowing businesses to configure their operations in one, two, or three steps. These configurations determine how goods are received from suppliers or delivered to customers, ensuring the process matches your company’s logistical needs. Whether you prefer a simple, single-step delivery or a detailed, multi-step process, Odoo makes it easy to customize.

Purpose:

The purpose of this configuration is to:

  • Align shipment handling with your business’s operational requirements.

    • Step 2: Pick products and deliver to customers.

    • Step 3: Pick products → pack them → deliver to customers.
